About Us
Sinko Canada Inc.

Quality Control

Sinko contracts an engineering firm to perform regular testing of our product to ensure they are the best on the market. Our last test results for strength yielded an 8,450 lb. per sq. in. performance rating. A special Air percentage test ensures that our runners do not freeze or break up even in the harshest winter conditions.

Note: As of June 8, 2004, we have had an Independent Testing Lab test our product
and their results were: 8872 lbs/sq inch.

We have the capability of ‘curing’ up to 10,000 runners at a time in our new temperature and moisture controlled Curing facility. We cure with a light, temperature controlled water spray system calibrated to specific intervals. Each runner remains in our Curing facility for a minimum of 6 - 8 days.

Testimonials
We have all heard friends and relatives raving about the ‘best steak in town’ or ‘if you want seafood, then this is the spot to go’. Well, at Sinko we are proud of the quality, craftsmanship and years of commercial fishing experience that go into the fine products we offer our customers. Please take a moment and share some of our favorite comments from satisfied ‘friends’:

Marine Ballast Runners
“OFFSHORE-INSHORE holds in strong tides. Great in deep water.” Frank Thompson *F/V Independence* (Vinnal Haven, ME)

“... in 80 fathoms of water, my shrimp traps with ballast runners always land upright; every trap fishes every time. Also, with ballast runners there is more room inside! Very satisfied customer, I would not hesitate to order these again.” Stewart Burridge (Canso, NS)

“I never get mud on the side of the traps any more, so I know they are landing bottom down” Capt. Guy Burgess (East Northport, LI)

“... stay still on the bottom like a suction cup, long lasting. They work very well for me.” Pat at P&D Seafood (Centerport, NY)

“... I’ve been using these runners for 2 years. My crew finds the traps come to the rail right, saves time and no damaged doors because they land bottom down. With no ballast inside it’s easier to remove the lobsters. With 225 traps, I’ve only noticed one crack in one skid. These skids can take a lot of punishment and I will continue to use them.” Lloyd Cleveland, (Pubnico, NB)

“... Sinko Ballast keeps a clean trap and always lands the right way. Don’t move on the bottom creating a 15 to 20 % better catch.” F/V Generation (Long Island, NY)

“... land upright and do not have to replace runners, a lot less maintenance.” Capt. Dave Kessler, (Northport, LI)

“... land flat and hold the rail well. Catch a lot better.” Capt. Roger Sorenson, (Huntington, NY)
